Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal commended Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, equating him to a divine presence, following the Supreme Court's ruling on the Chandigarh mayoral elections. During his address to the Delhi assembly, Kejriwal expressed gratitude to the judiciary, stating, "We consider courts as temples. Serving justice is God's work.

This is why when a judge announces verdicts, it is considered God's work in a way." Drawing parallels between the Chief Justice and God, Kejriwal stated that the Supreme Court's decision, which nullified the initial outcome and declared AAP's Kuldeep Kumar as the winner, reflected a divine intervention akin to Lord Krishna's presence.

The SC's decision on Tuesday invalidated the Chandigarh mayoral polls' results in favor of the AAP-Congress alliance, declaring Kuldeep Kumar as the Mayor. The court determined that presiding officer Anil Masih had tampered with 8 votes cast for Kumar and initiated a criminal case against Masih for false claims of defacing ballot papers.

Kejriwal also took a swipe at the BJP, accusing the party of questionable victories and suggesting that they "steal" wins through dubious means. The Delhi CM highlighted the Supreme Court's role in "saving democracy" during challenging circumstances.
